2025 Calendar of Events
By Catharine Hadley, Arts and Entertainment Editor, catharinehadley@gmail.com
The theme of this column is "trying new things." I'm happy to be starting this new project of writing the entertainment column for Leisure Living Magazine! I've done all I could to make the entertainment listing complete and varied, so there should be something for everyone. Although I've done my best to make sure all the information is accurate, please go online or call ahead to confirm your plans.
Any suggestions and details of your upcoming events can be sent to me at catharinehadley@gmail.com.
Summer is nearly officially here!
Outdoor music is one of my favorite things about this season. The Sandusky Community Celebrations Council starts Tuesday night concerts on June 17 at the gazebo in Washington Park. The concerts are free and begin at 7 p.m.
The Port Clinton Summer Concert series is also in full swing, with music performed on the stage on the northern half of the 100 block of Madison Street. See the calendar below for some of the performers. The RiverFront Live! events start this month at 6 p.m. on Fridays, and The Island Boys take the stage every Tuesday evening.
On a different "note" - Jazz Week at Lakeside is June 9 through 13. Check the Lakeside website for a full slate of performers and speakers.
To me, summer also means farmers' markets. I'm sad that the local one in Port Clinton is on hold this year, but that gives me the opportunity to explore some others!
